Frederik III Krone 1659 AU55 NGC, Copenhagen mint, KM223, Dav-3578, Hede-98. Commemorative issued by the King of Denmark after the defeat of the Swedish army and breaking of the siege of Copenhagen in 1659. Obv. Crowned monogram of King resting on a biblical stone. Rev. Hand of God coming out of the clouds to cut off the hand of the Swedish King as he reaches for the Danish crown. A nice, well-struck example, with mottled reverse toning and minor handling marks. A very popular issue.
