    Description

    1796 JR-1 Dime, Fine Details
    Usual Obverse Rim Break

1796 10C JR-1, R.3 -- Obverse Scratched -- NGC Details. Fine. The usual rim break covering part of the first star is clearly visible on this moderately worn dime. Struck during the first year of coinage for the denomination, this is an important issue for type collectors. This piece has trivial dents and marks on each side, with faint obverse scratches as NGC notes. Pleasing light to medium-gray surfaces have deep steel toning near the borders.
