1796 Dime, JR-1, XF Details
1796 10C JR-1, R.3 -- Tooled -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details.
The popular late die state with a heavy rim cud on the obverse at
star 1 and extensive cracking and clashing on the reverse. This
JR-1 1796 dime boasts an even, well-executed strike, although
adjustment marks remain visible in the central reverse. The
surfaces show light tooling that softens scattered abrasions, and
the color is unnaturally bright due to past cleaning.
