Description

1796 JR-2 Dime, AG3
Affordable First Year of Issue

1796 10C JR-2, R.4, AG3 NGC. Steel-gray surfaces contain faint mustard overtones as well as some russet-brown regions in the protected areas. Light abrasions are present, but none are detracting for the grade. This coin provides an excellent opportunity for the budget-conscious type collector who desires a dime from the denomination's first year of issue. The JR-2 die marriage is also not one of the two common die marriages of the year (JR-1 or JR-6).
