    Description

    1797 16 Stars Dime, JR-1, VF20
    Attractive Surfaces

1797 10C 16 Stars VF20 PCGS. JR-1, R.4. The Mint began this year by striking the 16 stars variety seen here, but reverted to the 13 stars type later in 1797. This example shows clean surfaces with light-gray color on the high points and slightly deeper dove-gray patina in the fields. A well-produced example with strong details for the grade. Population: 7 in 20, 46 finer (3/14).

The outcome of the auction far exceeded my best hopes and would not likely have been as successful with out your sound advice on where to present the coin and how best to set the reserve. Throughout the process your availability , support and knowledge were exceptional.
