Pleasing Near-Mint 1798 Large 8 Dime
1798 10C Large 8 AU58 NGC. JR-4, R.3. A middle die state with obverse die cracks to the chin and nose, but no die break is yet present near the left wingtip. Luster dominates the hair, shield, and legends. The left side stars are soft, but the major devices are bold, with slight wear on the cheek and shoulder. The left obverse field has a pair of hair-thin laminations, as made, and a short mark is concealed on the field near the forehead.(Registry values: P6)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 236E, PCGS# 4466, GSID# 3960)
