Rare 1798 Small 8 Dime, JR-3, VG
1798 10C Small 8 VG8 PCGS. JR-3, R.5. Deep golden-russet and ocean-blue consume this challenging early dime variety, which receives its own Guide Book listing, as do the other three marriages for the date. The wear is uneven due to a bend, but plumage detail is considerable, and all letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM are at least partly present.(Registry values: P6)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 4467, GSID# 3961)
