    Description

    Impressive XF40 1800 JR-1 Dime

1800 10C JR-1, R.4. Reiver state a. XF40 NGC. A die crack extends from the rim to the tip of the right wing of the eagle and extensive rim crumbling is found in that area. Additional rim crumbling is seen above ES OF, and there is a well developed die crack to the right center feather of the eagle's tail, which does not appear to extend up into the shield. Medium steel-gray with hints of blue and attractive on the obverse, the reverse well matched but has an area of darker specks in the star field above the eagle. Examination with a loupe will find a dull scratch up from Liberty's neck, face and nose, and another from her bust up into the field to the eighth star. A tough date to find this nice.
