    1802 Dime, Choice XF
    Rare JR-3 Variety

1802 10C JR-3, R.6, XF45 NGC. A rare die marriage identified by the reverse die, which exhibits a radial crack through the arrows claw and a second bold crack through the CA in AMERICA. A perusal of our online auction records show only a single finer example has been offered by us this century, an AU58 NGC that brought $43,125 in our 2008 Baltimore ANA Signature. The present Choice XF example is surprisingly smooth save for an unobtrusive field mark below the E in AMERICA. Attractive orange-gold, forest-green, and lavender toning accompanies design elements, though the open fields and high points are brilliant.
