1805 4 Berries Dime, MS63
JR-2, Semireflective Iridescent Fields

1805 10C 4 Berries, JR-2, R.1, MS63 NGC. The flag of 5 extends into the drapery and only four berries exist on the olive branch to identify this Select Uncirculated JR-2 dime. Narrow A's are a less obvious diagnostic for the variety. Struck from an early die state, this example shows no defining die cracks and the strike lacks sharpness at only a few lower-left obverse stars. On the reverse, the strike weakens along the left-to-upper reverse dentils, clouds, and a few field stars. Silver surfaces on both sides display fleeting iridescence including gold, lilac, and blue hues.
