    Description

    Elusive 1805 Dime, MS63 PCGS

1805 10C 4 Berries MS63 PCGS. JR-2, R.2. While JR-2 is the more plentiful of the two known die marriages of the 1805 Draped Bust Dime, examples that have survived the passage of time with fully Mint State surfaces must be considered rare. This is just such a coin, both sides displaying suitably bold striking detail that is perhaps most readily evident over the obverse portrait. The otherwise silver-gray features brighten a bit at more direct angles. The design elements are nicely centered on the planchet. Just about all of the obverse dentilation shows, as does most of that on the reverse except along the upper border. No adjustment marks are visible on either side, nor are there any significant contact marks.(#4477) (Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 236S, PCGS# 4477)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
