    Description

    Impressive Select 1807 Dime

1807 10C MS63 PCGS. JR-1, R.2. The only die marriage known for 1807, which was also the final year of the Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle type. Interestingly, the reverse die was previously used for the production of Quarter Eagles, in addition to its hardy service in the production of Dimes. The major devices are exquisitely struck, although the left side stars are relatively flat. The obverse has heavy clashmarks, as made, with shield lines below the ear, clouds below the bust, and a wreath near Liberty's forehead. A very short pinscratch rests in the field near Liberty's nose, but the surfaces are refreshingly unmarked. (NGC ID# 236T, PCGS# 4480)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
