    Description

    MS64+ 1807 Dime, JR-1
    Last Draped Bust Issue

1807 10C MS64+ PCGS. CAC. JR-1, R.2. The 1807 is the last of the Draped Bust dime issues; when production of the denomination resumed in 1809, the coins bore the Capped Bust design. The 1807 is known from a single die pair, and while the date is not rare, it is certainly in high demand relative to its availability, especially for the best examples. This is one such coin, a near-Gem that falls just shy of the next level, struck from late-state clashed dies but beautiful nonetheless with partly frosty silver-gray surfaces generously toned peach and gold. Magnificent all-around eye appeal. Population: 1 in 64+, 7 finer (5/11).(Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 236T, PCGS# 4480)

    Weight: 2.70 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
