Appealing XF45 Centered Draped Bust
1795 Dollar, B-15, BB-52
1795 $1 Draped Bust, Centered XF45 NGC. B-15, BB-52, R.2.
Bowers-Borckardt Die State V with a faint crack atop the ICA in
AMERICA. A primarily slate-gray Choice XF example that has hints of
chestnut toning on the reverse, while the central obverse features
dove-gray patina. Relatively unabraded for the grade. Although no
dies are shared between BB-51 and BB-52, most specialists believe
BB-51, with its awkward Bust placement, was struck first. The mint
worker presumably learned from the mistake before laying out
