    Description

    1795 Draped Bust Dollar, VF35
    Off Center Bust, B-14, BB-51

1795 $1 Draped Bust, Off Center VF35 PCGS. CAC. B-14, BB-51, R.2. An original dove-gray example with traces of dirt in design recesses, a look desired by specialists. The reverse shows moderate mint-made adjustment marks at the center and margin, but post-strike abrasions are inconsequential for the grade. Believed to be the very first Draped Bust die variety of any denomination, since the misplaced bust (entered too far to the right, relative to the die) would have been a learning experience prior to making B-15.(Registry values: P3) (NGC ID# 24X2, PCGS# 96858)
