1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Three Leaves, B-5, BB-27, R.1, VG8 PCGS. Bowers Die State II. A narrow diagonal "bar" on the field behind the highest neck curl is the pick-up point for the specialist-familiar BB-27 variety. This is a pleasing example for the assigned VG8 grade, with rich blue-gray fields surrounding lightly toned silver-gray devices. Tiny marks are largely eliminated by extended circulation wear, leaving only smoothly worn surfaces that feature well-defined design elements throughout both the obverse and the reverse. The rims are bold and eye appeal is strong.
