Attractive Three Leaves Example
1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Three Leaves, B-6, BB-25, R.3, VF30
NGC. Ex: The Peh Family Collection. Bowers-Borckardt Die State
III. Well-balanced, medium gray surfaces are highlighted with
rose-gold and ringed with steel-blue. Unusually free of
normally-seen adjustment marks on either side. About 30 degrees of
counterclockwise die rotation is also noted. This die marriage is
relatively available, but is notable for the addition of a fourth
leaf under the first S in STATES in the middle of production, an
unusual occurrence for the time.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2005), lot 6576.
