Popular Blundered Date, Two Leaves
1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Two Leaves, B-1, BB-21, R.2, VG10
PCGS. Bowers Die State I. This plentiful Two Leaves variety
displays Liberty's portrait closer to LIBERTY than nearly all other
1795 Flowing Hair varieties. Remnants of a misstruck 1 remains
beneath the primary 7 in the date. This is an ideal example of the
BB-21 variety for the grade, with only smooth wear determining the
VG10 designation. Pleasing medium-gray toning deepens slightly at
the borders and surrounds the well-defined raised devices. There
are no adjustment marks or significant abrasions to distract the
