1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, B-24, BB-124, R.2, VF30 PCGS. Bowers Die State V, shattered lower-right obverse. Uniformly olive-gray with pewter hues. Considerable strike weakness on the lower-right bust and the corresponding reverse stars is characteristic of this die state, caused by the failing obverse die in that region. No adjustment marks are seen, and the coin is problem-free.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24X6, Variety PCGS# 40041, Base PCGS# 6873, GSID# 199112)
