Description

1798 Heraldic Eagle Dollar, VF30
BB-24, BB-124, Pointed 9

1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, B-24, BB-124, R.2, VF30 PCGS. Bowers Die State V with curved cracks through obverse star 12 and a die break to the rim from the bottom of the eagle's branch. An attractive midgrade, first-year Heraldic Eagle type coin. No marks are of notice, and traces of luster linger within the wings and other design crevices. The upper-right reverse stars are lightly brought up, as they were struck opposite the high point of Liberty's shoulder, but all dentilation is clear and the shield lines are fully separated.
