B-27, BB-113, Pointed 9, Close Date
1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Close Date, AU55 NGC. B-27,
BB-113, R.2. Mint luster emanates from Liberty's hair strands
and glows from the colorfully toned peripheries of this boldly
detailed Draped Bust dollar. Silver-gray centers merge into gold
and aqua margins characteristic of dollars stored in cardboard
albums many years ago, acquiring a concentric patina much-valued
today. This is a nice example of the 1798 date with the Heraldic
Eagle reverse, showing little wear and no significant marks from
