1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Four Berries, B-8, BB-125, R.2, XF40 ANACS. Bowers Die State V with the diagonal crack on the left (facing) wing undescribed in the Bowers early dollar reference. Weakness on obverse star 5 and the N in E in UNITED are characteristic of the late die state. Peach-gold and powder-blue accents adorn the steel-gray surfaces. A narrow flan flaw after the E in AMERICA is of mint origin. Marks are trivial save for a small rim knock over the ED in UNITED.
