Description
Important XF 1800 AMERICAI Dollar
Rare B-11, BB-191 Variety
1800 $1 AMERICAI XF40 PCGS. B-11, BB-191, R.5. By far the
rarer of the two AMERICAI die marriages, Bolender-11 is also
noteworthy for its obverse, which is the "Very Wide Date, Low 8"
variety separately listed in the Guide Book. That variety is
more commonly encountered as B-10, with a different reverse than
B-11. The present B-11 representative has noticeable luster and
pleasing sharpness. The surfaces are cloud-gray and caramel-gold
with hints of steel-blue. A few faded thin marks are noted on the
left obverse.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 6892, Greysheet# 7170)
