Description

1800 B-13, BB-193 Dollar, AU58
Ample Luster, Smooth Surfaces

1800 $1 B-13, BB-193, R.3, AU58 PCGS. Bowers Die State III with a die crack across the top of AMERICA. A curved die line across the drapery and Liberty's chest attributes Bolender-13. This is a beautiful Borderline Uncirculated example with nearly full luster and light steel-gray toning that yields to occasional splashes of lilac and russet on both sides. High point wear is minimal, and the only mentionable marks are located on Liberty's upper neck, just below the jawline. An attractive and impressive specimen.
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2008), lot 2340; Midwest Naval Officer's Collection / Rosemont Signature (Heritage, 8/2013), lot 5696.
