Scarce Bowers Die State I
1800 $1 B-13, BB-193, R.3, VF30 PCGS. Bowers Die State I.
Silver surfaces contain mustard and steel-blue highlights. Wear is
even and planchet striations in the obverse field are as made. The
BB-193 was previously known as B-13 and B-18, with die states
leading to the differential. The present Die State I was B-13, and
it was quite scarce, while the later die states were B-18, which
was considered to be one of the most common die marriages of the
