Description

1800 $1 Dotted Date, B-14, BB-194, R.3, VF25 PCGS. Bowers Die State III. A cluster of small die lumps near the first 0 in the date provide the nickname for BB-194, the Dotted Date variety. It has been listed for many years in the Guide Book, and can be attributed at a glance. A charming representative with dusky gray peripheral toning. The centers have lighter patina with cream hues in protected regions. Minor marks near the BER in LIBERTY are barely worthy of mention.
