Description

Splendid 1800 Dollar, B-13, BB-193, Extremely Fine

1800 $1 XF40 PCGS. CAC. B-13, BB-193, R.4. This variety is best identified by the reverse, which features pronounced clash marks around OF, clouds 7 and 8, and several stars. The clash marks are not as pronounced as often seen, which indicates that this piece is Die State II, and there are no longer clash marks visible on the obverse. A hint of lavender toning in the periphery accents the dusting of russet that covers the mostly medium gray surfaces. The details are crisply outlined and there are no noteworthy marks on either side. A lovely example of this interesting variety. (Registry values: N1793)
