1801 $1 VF30 PCGS. B-2, BB-212, R.3. This variety shows the distance from the 1 in the date to the curl being about the same as the distance from star 8 to the upper right serif of Y in LIBERTY, and the 01 in the date closer than the 180. On the reverse, the point of the leftmost arrowhead is under the left edge of the left serif of N in UNITED. Golden-gray patina is accented by deep bluish-gray, and traces of luster reside in the protected areas of the obverse. Nicely defined. A light horizontal grease streak is visible on the obverse.(Registry values: N1793)
