    Description

    1795 Capped Bust Right Eagle
    13 Leaves, BD-1 Variety

1795 $10 13 Leaves Genuine PCGS. Breen-6830, BD-1, High R.3. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Damage as the reason, or one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of an Uncirculated specimen that has reverse rim damage. The BD-1 variety is recognized by the small die lumps near Y in LIBERTY and the position of the leaf nearly touching U in UNITED. This coin is from the Bass-Dannreuther Die State c/a, with extensive die cracks on the obverse, but none showing on the reverse. A few light adjustment marks are evident on Liberty's cheek and hair, and the reverse rim damage consists of a deep cut at 2 o'clock. The design elements are well-detailed and the attractive surfaces display vibrant mint luster.(Registry values: P5, N5) (NGC ID# 25ZU, PCGS# 8551)

It goes without saying that after the auction when we had a chance to have dinner together and get to know each other it even made it a better experience for me. I look forward to getting more involved with Heritage in the Future.
