Description

XF Details 1795 Small Eagle Ten
13 Leaves, BD-2

1795 $10 13 Leaves--Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. Breen-6830, Taraszka-2, BD-2, High R.4. This slightly subdued and faintly hairlined olive-gold representative displays noticeable luster throughout the stars, letters, wings, and hair. An unimportant pinscratch passes through the beak, and a short, faded thin mark is beneath the IB in LIBERTY. A small area of granularity is present on the reverse exergue, and a small pellet-shaped strike-through is west of the date. A few trivial adjustment marks, as made, are concealed on Liberty's cap. The preceding list of defects appears much worse than it actually is, and most gold collectors would be delighted to possess this desirable Small Eagle early ten.
