Reflective 1801 BD-2 Eagle, AU58
1801 $10 AU58 NGC. Breen-6843, Taraszka-25, BD-2, R.2. The present sale offers collectors quite a choice between eight different 1801 eagles in a wide range of quality, a remarkable lineup. This piece has brilliant and lustrous green-gold surfaces with faint traces of pale orange toning in the fields. Myriad tiny abrasions and a trace of high point wear prevent a full Mint State grade, but the coin exhibits excellent eye appeal. The fastidious collector may want to know about a tiny obverse rim nick at 10 o'clock.
