    Description

    Attractive MS61 1801 Early Ten

1801 $10 MS61 NGC. B. 2-B, Taraszka-25, R.3. Bright green-gold color is enhanced by a significant presence of original mint luster. The central details on each side are finely detailed with especially crisp definition on Liberty's hair curls. Numerous small abrasions are scattered over each side, all of which are small and individually insignificant, these accounting for the lower Mint State grade. Very seldom encountered in Uncirculated grades, the 1801 may be a "common" issue in the series, but in absolute terms it is very scarce and the constant demand from collectors keeps the market price just out of the reach of many collectors who would like to own an example.
Purchased from Abner Kreisberg Corporation on July 11, 1980 for $12,000.
    From The Beverly Hills Collection.(#8564) (Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 2627, PCGS# 8564)

    Weight: 17.50 grams
