1794 V-1, LM-1 Half Dime, XF40
Rare First-Year Die Variety

1794 H10C V-1, LM-1, R.6, XF40 PCGS. LM-1 is the rarest of the four 1794 half dime die marriages. Stars 4, 8, and 12 are repunched, as is the T in UNITED. This piece is in a later die state with wispy die cracks across the obverse. The surfaces are vibrantly toned in sea-green, gold, and rose colors. Detail is sharp, with rub generally limited to the eagle's breast. The portrait has a few tiny contact marks and the reverse has a pair of short, faded pinscratches.
