Desirable 1796 LIKERTY Half Dime, Choice AU

1796 H10C LIKERTY AU55 NGC. V-1, LM-1, R.3. The popular LIKERTY variety is actually a later die state of this variety. Vibrant purple and blue toning covers most of the surfaces, but the protected areas have hints of tan and gray patina. The centers are a touch soft, as often seen, but there are no marks of any significance. All 1796 half dimes are scarce-to-rare with a mintage of just 10,230 pieces.(Registry values: P7)
