    Description

    Sharp 1796 Half Dime, V-1, LM-1

1796 H10C -- Surface Damage -- Genuine PCGS. V-1, LM-1, R.3. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Surface Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of an AU specimen that has surface damage. This is an impressively detailed Draped Bust half dime with light wear on the eagle's breast and other high points. Slate-gray and caramel-gold at the centers with deeper charcoal patina at the borders. Abrasions of note are confined to a pair of pinscratches on Liberty's cleavage.(Registry values: P7, N7) (NGC ID# 22ZW, PCGS# 4254)
