Charming XF 1797 15 Stars Half Dime1797 H10C 15 Stars XF40 PCGS. V-2, LM-1, R.3. Rich gunmetal-gray and golden-brown colors embrace this bright and lightly marked example. The only 1797 die pairing with 15 stars, thus LM-1 receives a separate Guide Book listing. A few wispy obverse marks do not merit further elaboration. Attractively detailed save for mint-made softness on the eagle and central neck curls. A couple of short lintmarks near the eagle's head are also of mint origin.(Registry values: P6) (NGC ID# 22ZZ, PCGS# 4258)
