    Description

Choice Mint State 1800 LM-1 Half Dime

1800 H10C MS64 PCGS. V-1, LM-1, R.3. A splendid Choice Mint State example, housed in an older green label holder, with fully lustrous surfaces and brilliant mint frost. This piece is sharply detailed and highly attractive. While a few finer examples of the date and the variety still exist, it is easily within the top 10 of the variety.
An early die state, the obverse has no evidence of a rim break that eventually appears within the denticles below the date, although heavy clash marks are visible around the date and below the bust. Lighter clash marks are also visible in the right obverse field and on the reverse. A thin bisecting die crack is visible on the reverse from the M through the shield to the I of UNITED.
    From The Temecula Collection, Part II.(Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 2326, PCGS# 4264)
