Description

1794 Flowing Hair Half, Good 6
O-101a, Smooth Appealing Surfaces

1794 50C O-101a, R.4, Good 6 PCGS. An attractive example, smoothly worn by extensive circulation but with nice remaining detail over most of the coin. The rims and denticles are strong except for typical weakness at the lower right quadrant of the obverse, where some of the stars and the date are heavily worn but visible. The reverse shows complete rims and dentilation, with strong detail for the grade. The silver-gray toning is light and slightly iridescent. Struck from the late die state of the Overton 101 variety, with confirming die cracks through F in OF and from the top single leaf to the S in (STATE)S.
