Description

1794 O-101a Half Dollar, Good 6
Bold Portrait and Peripheral Legends

1794 50C O-101a, T-7, High R.3, Good 6 NGC. The die break at OF on the reverse identifies the often-seen late die state variant of the collectible O-101 variety. The rim is sharp on the reverse but weak from 3 to 7 o'clock on the lower obverse. Both sides feature entirely readable legends and have smooth olive-gray surfaces. The Liberty portrait is boldly outlined, although the eagle is worn away.
