Description
O-101 1794 Flowing Hair Half
1794 50C PCGS Genuine. O-101, High R.3. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of a Fine 12 specimen that has been repaired, whizzed, and retoned. Largely smoothed-out fields show the microporosity often associated with whizzing, and the gold-gray and gunmetal-blue toning on each side seems to float across the surfaces. Still, a collectible representative of the Flowing Hair half dollar type.Auction Info
