Description

1795/1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-112, T-20, R.4 -- Graffiti -- PCGS Genuine Secure. VF Details.
Tompkins Die State 3/1. A bold die crack at 12 o'clock travels through the lower-left serif of the R in LIBERTY to the top of Liberty's head, then continues downward to the ear. The O-112 (T-20) variety is best known for its widely doubled date, paired with a 2 Leaves reverse. This attractive example has some light graffiti in the right field that is difficult to discern without a loupe. Lilac and golden toning enhance well-defined silver surfaces. Mint luster remains in protected pockets and surrounds the stars and legends. Choice eye appeal exceeds assigned net grade.
