O-108a, Two Leaves, Late Die State

1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-108a, T-17, R.4 -- Scratch -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details. Tompkins Die State 4/3. The O-108a (T-17) late die stage includes numerous raised ridges at star 1 and several light die cracks encircling the obverse margins. Obverse and reverse rippling at the dentils is related to the edge lettering, which sits high on the rims. Smooth olive-gray surfaces display attractive iridescent colors when viewed at an angle. This pleasing coin is net graded by PCGS for a small, curved scratch between OF and AMERICA. A few inconspicuous obverse pinscratches mingle with Mint-related adjustment marks seen under magnification at the outer borders.
