Description

Exceptional 1795 Half Dollar

1795 XF 40. O-117a, R.4. Light and medium gray toning is highlighted by areas of iridescent gold. This half is nicely centered and well struck, with more details than might be expected from an XF grade. We note an inconspicuous planchet crack to the right of the date. Liberty's face has a few marks, now well hidden by the toning.
