Lightly Toned 1801 Half Dollar, XF40, O-101
1801 50C XF40 ICG. O-101, R.3. One of two varieties, this one is identified by the presence of die lumps (as struck) near the arrowheads, as well as by the last A in AMERICA not being embedded in the wing feathers. Whispers of red-tan and aqua-blue patina occur on both sides of this XF40 specimen. Generally well defined, and revealing just a few light circulation marks.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24ED, PCGS# 6064, GSID# 6128)
