Draped Bust Half Dollar, MS62
1807 50C Draped Bust MS62 PCGS. CAC. O-102, R.2. Stars 7, 8,
and 13 are close to the L, Y, and bust tip, respectively. On the
reverse a leaf points to the extreme right base of the I in
AMERICA. This is a lovely coin that shows some prooflike
reflectivity in the obverse left field, while elsewhere the
somewhat deeper toning diminishes the luster a bit, likely
accounting for the grade. The eye appeal is quite high, with tinges
of olive, ice-blue, gold, and powder-gray predominating. This piece
is tied for the lower end of the Condition Census in Steve
Herrman's auction reference. Population for all varieties: 24 in
