Description

Choice AU Sharpness 1807 Bust Left Half Eagle

1807 $5 Bust Left--Cleaned--ANACS. AU55 Details. Breen-6453, BD-8, R.2. The 1807 Bust Left half eagle is among the most common of the type, produced from 1807 until 1812. This die marriage, BD-8, is the more common of the two varieties, with the bottom tip of the arrow feather pointing to the tip of the flag in the 5. Despite the ANACS caveat, much appeal remains on the green-gold surfaces of this lightly circulated example. The surfaces are a bit hairlined, and some undistracting adjustment marks appear near the rims on each side. (Registry values: P2)
