Description
Lustrous MS62 1807 Half Eagle
Bust Left, BD-8
1807 $5 Bust Left MS62 PCGS. Breen-6453, BD-8, R.2.
Bass-Dannreuther Die State c/a. A lovely apricot-gold
representative of this prized early gold type. The fields shimmer
with luster, and no abrasions are evident to the unaided eye,
although careful rotation beneath a light and a loupe reveals minor
field hairlines. Mint-made adjustment marks are limited to the
obverse rim between 9 and 10 o'clock, and the reverse border
displays minor strike doubling. The eye appeal is superior for the
designated grade. An opportunity to obtain a quality yet affordable
