Description
Lustrous AU50 1809/8 BD-1 Half Eagle
1809/8 $5 AU50 PCGS. Breen-6458, BD-1, High R.3. Bass-Dannreuther Die State b/b, with the obverse perhaps better described as "a-b transitional" since the left-side die crack does not reach all stars. A still-lustrous yellow-orange example of this one-die-pair year, well-defined with light, even wear. Scattered marks and a handful of pinscratches contribute to the grade, but the eye appeal is solid.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 8104, GSID# 8875)
