Description
Charming Choice AU
1811 Half Eagle, Small 5, BD-2
1811 $5 Small 5 AU55 NGC. Breen-6464, BD-2, R.3. This
green-gold beauty has substantial luster and is remarkably devoid
of visible abrasions. Although John Reich's Capped Bust Left type
is elusive, collectors of a certain means can complete a date run
of the design, 1808 to 1812. Such a task is impossible for its
successor type, the Capped Head Left, due to the prohibitive rarity
of the 1815 and 1822.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25PH, PCGS# 8109, GSID# 8815)
Metal: 91.67% Gold, 8.33% Copper
Weight: 8.75 grams
AGW: 0.25789oz
