    Description

    1811 Half Eagle, Unc Details
    BD-2, Small 5

1811 $5 Small 5 -- Tooled -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details. BD-2, R.3. The obverse shows no signs of clash marks but has a delicate die crack connecting stars 8, 9, and 10. The reverse exhibits faint clash marks. The Small 5 in the denomination is distinctive, as it is centered between the arrow feather and the border, and tilts sharply to the right. A few smooth, shiny areas in the luster on the reverse suggest minor tooling on this otherwise lovely half eagle, with frosty lemon-yellow luster and sharp details.(Registry values: P2)
